A World Filled with Miracles

Steve Farrell said, “God is talking to each of us all the time but often there is little awareness so we don’t attribute the thought or inspiration to God and worse, often we don’t listen. God’s thoughts are always the most loving, inclusive, healing and clear.”

I want to live in a world filled with miracles, but then doesn’t everybody? Fortunately, we are surrounded by evidence that, indeed, a divine force (known my many names throughout history) is working within each of our lives every day. Whether or not you are new to this idea, you may enjoy the highlights of a few of the Sacred Stories found on our home page at http://scs-matters.com.

Too many books were piled on her piano stool and end table, and then, “SPLASH!” Her previously full cup of steaming hot black coffee had drizzled down into the magazine rack, and was now soaking into her carpet.

While she was busily cleaning up the mess, she came across a book she had gotten free with a magazine subscription years ago. She had forgotten about it entirely, but the book, How to Clean Practically Anything, opened up to a section on cleaning coffee stains out of carpet!

Another woman had recently moved to the country from the city. She was not really sure about the water quality at her new home, so she said a little prayer, asking that she be shown if she should use the tap water or buy purified water for drinking.

Heading to the grocery store, she heard an ad on the radio for a water company, and as she sat at the stop light waiting to make a turn, a delivery truck from that same company turned in front of her. There was her answer!

Late one Friday night, a mother’s car slid into an icy river. Fourteen hours later a fisherman spotted the car and called the authorities. When the rescue workers arrived at the scene, they heard a voice (not a child’s voice) calling “Help me” from inside the car. They found the mother’s body in the driver’s seat. Her eighteen month-old daughter, Lily, was in the back seat dangling inside her car seat—still alive!

My husband’s cousin was out of town with her husband when her mother died. Returning home, she found a beautiful bloom on a cactus she had moved into the house for the winter. She instantly recognized this as a message from her mother because this cactus had never before bloomed in the house!

A client of mine told me that years before I met her, she had been so depressed she could not see herself going on. She doused herself with gasoline, got into her car in the garage, struck a match, and was ablaze!
A voice boomed in her head,“OPEN THE DOOR AND GET OUT OF THE CAR!”

Somehow, she did just that and survived being burned over 85 percent of her body. She told me, “I never knew anyone would care if I lived or died. Obviously, someone wanted me to live.”

Each one of us is loved beyond measure and we live in a world filled with miracles. Let’s all remember that.
