OK, so here is yet another encouragement for your developing a yoga practice. This one is all about your yoga brain.
A picture is worth a thousand words, so please take a close look at “Your Brain on Yoga.”
A regular yoga practice benefits these areas of your brain: frontal lobe, prefrontal cortex, cerebrum, parietal lobe, occipital lobe, cerebellum, brain stem, and the limbic system. Brain studies show that gray matter in the amygdala—linked to fear and anxiety—decreases.
This week, find a way to benefit your brain. Yoga cannot hurt you and it might just allow you to enjoy life physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
