She was having breakfast with some friends who had been visiting, enjoying the lovely January morning in South Florida.

They spoke deeply about their shared Peace Corps experience, of having served together in Togo—officially the Togolese Republic—one of the smallest countries in Africa.

Her friends were heading out to the airport.

As she stood up to leave, a couple who had also been enjoying the cafe’s small outdoor seating area, spoke up, “We did not intend to intrude on your conversation, but we could not help overhearing your having been in Togo, Africa.”

“I will be right back. I would love to know how you know about Togo,” she assured them it was not an intrusion. She had rarely met anyone who even knew about Togo.

She settled the bill and bid her friends farewell before coming back to sit and chat with the couple, who had also served in the Peace Corps in Togo!

Our three-dimensional reality certainly has an amazing ability orchestrating place and time….
