Holidays can be extra stressful when family members come together and eat (or drink) too much, get too little sleep, and trigger old habit patterns buried deeply within our culture.

Learn NLP or self-hypnosis. Find a good integrative medicine practitioner. Whether you use homeopathy, acupressure, hypnosis, prayer—or a combination—you will be happier and healthier when you manage your emotions well.

In the December 28, 2014 Wellness Tip, we looked at the ten steps of forgiveness as the Greatest Gift.

And, last but not least, bring to mind the August 2, 2015 Wellness Tip about how food affects our mood. “Every day we are learning more about how the good bacteria in your gut helps improve your health and now we know it also improves your moods!”

This week, find things to be thankful for, especially that you know how to do the things that allow balance and well-being to be part of your holiday celebration (regardless how crazy your time with family can be).
