Summer is sandal season for women, men, and children, but there are some helpful tips for healthy summer feet.

Keep your heels moist by using an exfoliating moisturizer every day.

While showering, use a pumice stone on your feet once or twice a week. For best results, rub only in one direction.

Limit your time in flip flops to a few hours rather than all day to help avoid stress fractures or tendonitis.

Use a pair of good-supporting slippers in the house, and to avoid fungus and germs save bare-footing for your own turf.

Brew a cup of black tea, let it cool, then soak your feet for half hour. The tannins in the tea can decrease sweat production.

To guarantee you always enjoy a safe salon pedicure, bring in your own tools.
