Mother's Day

This week, those in the U.S. are celebrating Mother’s Day. Many individuals (both men and women) care for us throughout our lives. In fact, “Mother” nature itself nurtures us.

Being out in nature lowers blood pressure. A brief walk after a meal has been shown to do more for healthy blood sugar levels than medication. Even viewing photos of nature helps to prevent depression.

When you take good care of yourself (emotional and mentally, as well as physically), you are mothering your own inner child. It is never too late to have a happy childhood!
