These hiccups will be, “painful, unrelenting and severe that come on out of nowhere,” according to neurologist Diana Greene-Chandos, MD in a Huffington Post article.
You’ll know, or at least have a hunch, that your hiccups are a sign of stroke if you feel “chest pain, all-over numbness or a bit of blurred vision, but, Greene-Chandos says, the hiccups are often so severe, those symptoms fly under the radar.”
