“Health begins in the gut” is a pretty good mantra for health and well-being. Recently I came across an online resource you may want to check out. It is called Dr. Ritamarie’s Happy Belly Checklist and what I really appreciate is that she does not just tell you what to avoid, she also points you to the foods that actually heal your gut.

On the list are the normal no-no’s: processed foods, sugar, gluten, and alcohol, as well as the great eats (did you ever notice that eat is in the word great?) you have seen in previous Wellness Tips: broccoli, brussel sprouts, chia and flax seeds.
