Healing with Language

Healing with Language employs specific language patterns to recognize and influence an individual in beneficial ways. It borrows from linguistics, semantics, cognitive therapy, behaviorism, and energy medicine to achieve results that have been called “magical.” An easy way to think about Healing with Language is to recognize that words have energy and energy is at the basis (or lack) of health and well-being.

Think about the difference between saying or thinking, “If you get well,” or “When you get well.” Subtle Communication Systems bring into awareness the linguistic influences that affect everything.

The foundation was laid by Korzybski, Erickson, and others (including Virginia Satir, Fritz Perls, Gregory Bateson, and Paul Watzlawick). The foundational tools were codified into Neurolinguistic Programming primarily by Richard Bandler and John Grinder. Others—such as Robert Dilts, Judith DeLozier, and Steve and Connirae Andreas, were also among the early contributors.

Joel and Debra elected to do most of their advanced study of NLP with Richard Bandler and John La Valle through The Society of NLP. They stayed current with the changes in NLP, which evolved into “Bandler Technologies,” through regular training with Richard and John and others who worked with them because it contained some of the most elegant approaches to attitudinal and behavioral change available.

A key awareness of Healing with Language is built on the Drama Triangle, developed by Steve Karpman. The main roles of the Drama Triangle—Victim, Persecutor, and Rescuer—are well-known, but not everyone is familiar with either the Cognitive Triangle or the Transrational Pyramid. For more information, see “The Drama Triangle Revisited” (a free download in PDF format). It will help you identify the various roles and allow you and your friends, family, and clients to move away from the drama of life and gain a sense of awareness, clarity, and harmony available from the Transrational Pyramid.

Whether you are new to “Energy Medicine” and even if you have some background in NLP or hypnosis, you benefit from an expanded awareness of the way language affects your own energy and the energy fields of others. You can learn how to calibrate others based on their energetic responses, which are the first, most accurate responses. The energetic response is first and always truthful; the nonverbal response is second, and the verbal response is last—and the least “truthful.”

What If You Are a Hypnotist, is a PowerPoint Presentation in PDF format so you can see that the NLP in Healing with Language is a lot more than eye-accessing cues and matching sense-based predicates. Your training with SCS will give you a whole new spin…. As William Blake said, “The altering eye, alters all.”
