New Tastes

Most of us are aware of taste cravings. We might be hungry for salt or sweet. We might even desire a bitter or sour flavor. However, did you know there is a fifth taste? It’s called umami, and it has been shown to create a feeling of being satiated, having the effect of controlling your appetite.

That might just be good news!

• mushrooms
• green tea
• seaweed
• tomatoes
• truffles

No, these truffles are not chocolate. These truffles are subterranean fungi, found in North America, Europe, Asia, and North Africa.
