Goals and Wellness

Debra’s Wellness Tips

“Obstacles are those frightful things you see
when you take your eyes off your goal.”

~Henry Ford

Goals are an interesting thing. We do best when we have a goal. With wellness, having a goal is important, that is for sure. When I did an online search for “goals and wellness” what came as the 5 Goals for Improving Your Wellness certainly surprised me.

1. Meditate more often.
2. Practice more optimism.
3. Stay in the present moment.
4. Start an at-home yoga practice.
5. Spend less time online.

While we may recognize at least the first four items on the list are obviously minfulness-based, it may be less obvious that they all affect our overall wellness. Blood pressure, aches and pains, cardiovascular health, and many other markers of wellness improve with each of these practices. The more regular, the better!

If you are new to meditation, send email requesting the basic handout. Currently in process is a simple restorative yoga instructional video, too.
