Cure Adrenal Fatigue

Our every bodily function is affected by the function of our adrenal glands, yet much of the current Western lifestyle can be a pathway to adrenal fatigue. Exposure to environmental toxins, lack of sleep, poor diet, lack of exercise, and prolonged stress tax the adrenal glands and cause them to stop producing hormones effectively. This can lead to a host of symptoms, including: fatigue, depression, allergies, difficulty sleeping, irritability, cravings, weight gain, decreased libido, and muscle tension and weakness.

Adrenal health starts with good diet. Limit caffeine, microwaved or processed foods, sugar and sweeteners, and hydrogenated fats, and add some of these top superfoods for adrenal health:
• Coconut
• Olives
• Avocado
• Sea Salt
• Cruciferous vegetables (cauliflower, broccoli, brussel sprouts, etc.)
• Fatty fish, e.g. wild-caught salmon
• Chicken and turkey
• Nuts, such as walnuts and almonds
• Seeds, such as pumpkin, chia, and flax
• Kelp and seaweed
• Celtic or Himalayan sea salt

If you’ve been experiencing any of the symptoms of adrenal fatigue, be sure to check out Dr. Axe’s 3 Steps to Heal Adrenal Fatigue. The good news is, improving your lifestyle will bring things back into balance.

This week, make some lifestyle improvements, especially those related to your diet. Gosh, what good might come from improved adrenal function…. Imagine that!
